Trump threatened to impose “harsh measures” on Colorado unless it released election denier Tina Peters. Then the Trump administration cut grants to the state, and Governor Polis bowed to pressure and let Peters out early. That's not normal or ok.

People need to get it through their heads that whatever they *might* have “actually” meant a couple of years ago, when leftists say “AIPAC” or “Israel” NOW they often mean (((Jewish))) just as when MAGA says “DEI” they mean “Black.” If you can’t get that I don’t know what the else to say.

AES made a persuasive point that progressives should keep pushing in primaries: Haley Stevens is not “electable” if she requires $70 million in PAC spending to compete in a primary. The idea that we call these centrist corporate stooges electable is a joke. They have no organic support.

Dem leaders convinced him to get back in because they will get the governor to endorse him as well as ensure Mandela Barnes, who is polling at 25-30%, drops out. This is all to stop Hong, the person actually winning right now, because they love democracy

Whatever the problem is the answer is never going to be more cops. Not homelessness, not driving laws, not public intoxication (the one kind that is bad), not solving crimes or even stopping them. The only problems cops solve is too many people alive and outside of prison.

There’s something very dystopian about an authoritarian president letting the country know he’s planning on rigging elections and the main takeaway from people is either that he was boring or that they didn’t watch it. Everything feels so out of fucking whack right now.

I hope people are starting to understand that as leftist ideas grow in popularity, as economic conditions worsen, and as opposition to the tech oligarchs grows that the powerful are going to criminalize all of it in order to maintain control. We have to prepare for it because it’s coming.
