Hasan Piker isn't part of the Abdul El-Sayed campaign. Lorenzo Sewell is a member of the Mike Rogers campaign. And he's a proper extremist and bigot who the media isn't covering. I brought receipts in the Guardian today: www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

I have friends everywhere
Six months from now when (god willing) Democrats control Congress, Democratic voters are going to be staring at the news and wondering why the fuck they aren't using even a fraction of the power they now have to attack Trump officials that they used to attack a twitch streamer when they didn't.
Oh no are leftists rude? How many tanks do they have? How much of the cops and army. Zero? Wow.
‘Negative polarization’ here is just cope and denial. Leftists are regularly rude, abrasive and authoritarian, at any age.
Kushner and Trump didn’t “plant stories about meeting with Jeffries to sow division.” You have to give up on these cathartic storylines that make you feel better about what’s actually happening: the parties, as presently constituted, on behalf of the same wealth and oligarchical classes.
when you see how easy it is to smack these GOP freaks, and how badly they take it, it makes you wonder why the democratic party has consciously avoided it during Trump's entire reign
Jon Ossoff tells Lawrence O’Donnell: “It’s been amazing to watch this White House melt down over this all week. And about Natalie Harp, these White House staffers are adults — public officials, paid by the taxpayer, with immense power in positions of public trust… No one cares about their feelings.”
Hey uh the GOP made “normal or ok” irrelevant so we should be doing this to them the moment we manage to get power back. Use the tools of your enemy to defeat them or be prepared to lose forever.
Trump threatened to impose “harsh measures” on Colorado unless it released election denier Tina Peters. Then the Trump administration cut grants to the state, and Governor Polis bowed to pressure and let Peters out early. That's not normal or ok.
I can assure you that DSA is not backed by the Heritage Foundation. this Bulwark guy is, though
"The DSA—the official organ—is forking nuts. So nuts that if you told me that the DSA was a false flag operation run by the Heritage Foundation in order to discredit the Democratic party, it would make sense." Today's Triad from @jvl.bsky.social:
Lost in this discourse about Mangione is that even when UHC reacted to fix the issues he killed over, capital immediately jerked the leash back and made them reverse those changes. While Thompson's killing did reveal how we all really think about these industries, nothing materially changed.
"Imagine you think—as Elon Musk clearly does—that all of human civilization is dependent on maintaining pure-blooded white people as a significant portion of the world’s population, and keeping them in charge of…its most powerful states. What political agenda would follow from that?"
Fascists Really Believe It
Millions could die because of ideas intellectually and morally equivalent to the ‘lizard people’ conspiracy theory.

Progressive wins by small margins: this is proof that the left doesn't have what it takes Progressive loses by small margins: this is proof that the left doesn't have what it takes
I love this headline so much. lol Now tell us how El-Sayed has to tack to the right, ya losers, after he won with the full might of the Democratic and AIPAC establishment squawking their heads off plus spending $70 million against him total loser nonsense
Progressives didn’t get the big election night they wanted
the mainstream press praising rod liddle in death are not unaware he was a bigoted pedophile, they like him for it. the people in their in-group, at the top of their hierarchy, getting away with crimes signals that the world is in order. it is a moral good, to them. the bigger the crimes the better
"Liberal bubble" has only ever meant anywhere where right wing perspectives aren't artificially elevated and forced into everyone's feeds.
"they say israel to mean jews just like nazis say the n word to mean black people" it's got to be a fucking bummer for guys like this that this move has lost whatever power it used to have
People need to get it through their heads that whatever they *might* have “actually” meant a couple of years ago, when leftists say “AIPAC” or “Israel” NOW they often mean (((Jewish))) just as when MAGA says “DEI” they mean “Black.” If you can’t get that I don’t know what the else to say.
AES made a persuasive point that progressives should keep pushing in primaries: Haley Stevens is not “electable” if she requires $70 million in PAC spending to compete in a primary. The idea that we call these centrist corporate stooges electable is a joke. They have no organic support.
You hear it more and more. The only thing stopping this from happening is electing Establishment Dems.
Chaperoning a preschool trip to the aquarium and one of the other dads who is vaguely familiar with what I do comes up to me and goes “man I sure hope we get some Nuremberg-style trials at the end of all this”
It’s completely nuts that Trump won by less than 2M votes with near universal media help and worldwide rage at incumbents and the media treated this like a permanent sea change towards MAGA and now less than 2 years later he’s the least popular President in history and there’s no media reckoning
This stolen money needs to be returned to blue states by the next administration with interest.
“Trump has rejected disaster aid for Democratic-run states at the highest rate in the 47-year history of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.” Right now people in blue states are basically paying federal taxes as if they’re colonized territories of red states. www.politico.com/news/2026/03...
any liberal credibly able to call themselves such must at baseline be willing to defend the liberty to advocate for perfectly normal positions like state run health care and social services. even if they were marginally fringe ideas the fuck are you doing here? they're trying to jail people
Indeed yes Elon, we’ll deal with the traitors first… just stand over here against this nice wall.
Elon Musk, owner of X, has called the editor of the Economist "a traitor to the West, plain and simple" after her recent interview with him. He now argues that "anyone who opposes remigration is a traitor" Musk has been socialising violence since Aug25: "fight or die, that's what it comes down to"
And they know this, too. Here's a quote from Pete Buttigieg on July 30, 2019 during one of the Dem primary debates. He's right!
i love how centrists continue to do this thing where they say “if DSA becomes more front and center in the party, republicans will run on that!” as if the right doesn’t just say absolutely anything on and run on shit like peanut the squirrel or litterboxes in school bathrooms
Again: Keeping socialists out of government is the true goal of Democratic Party leadership. They pretend to tack left until the moment real leftists are safely defeated (same as in the UK with Labour) Viewed through this lens the strategy is comically transparent
Crowley, who was polling at 5%, dropped out. Dem leaders convinced him to get back in because they will get the governor to endorse him as well as ensure Mandela Barnes, who is polling at 25-30%, drops out. This is all to stop Hong, the person actually winning right now, because they love democracy
Whatever the problem is the answer is never going to be more cops. Not homelessness, not driving laws, not public intoxication (the one kind that is bad), not solving crimes or even stopping them. The only problems cops solve is too many people alive and outside of prison.
There’s something very dystopian about an authoritarian president letting the country know he’s planning on rigging elections and the main takeaway from people is either that he was boring or that they didn’t watch it. Everything feels so out of fucking whack right now.
I hope people are starting to understand that as leftist ideas grow in popularity, as economic conditions worsen, and as opposition to the tech oligarchs grows that the powerful are going to criminalize all of it in order to maintain control. We have to prepare for it because it’s coming.
Any political project which does not have a radical reform of the media landscape as a linchpin cannot be thought of as a serious response to the resurgence of reactionary politics and the polycrisis www.theguardian.com/environment/...
Most UK media reports on June heatwave failed to mention climate crisis
Exclusive: Analysis of nearly 2,500 articles finds almost three-quarters made no reference to global heating

Michael Fanone's take on Lindsey Graham is one of the most powerful I've read:
if you haven't seen any photos of what the US used to look like before the clean air/water acts, you should take 30 seconds for a quick image search
NEW: Trump's flurry of pardons to Clean Air Act violators were the latest move by his administration to undermine laws intended to fight climate change & curb air pollutants that harm human health, @karenzraick.bsky.social & I report.
It is seriously alarming how many of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful people are just screamingly mentally unwell in deeply toxic, dangerous ways.
"The Pope is the puppet of the Chinese authoritatian government" is a take you would make if you made billions by drinking paint.
