That said it's worth noting even casual media representation can help as well. My aunt-in-law started using correct pronouns after an episode of Gray's Anatomy of all things; and she's in her late 70s. It can be done; it's just an uphill fight due to logistics and powerbrokers.

Also finished Trans Technologies by @haimson.bsky.social (2025). Not a trans history book, but relevant for a peripheral argument I’m making in my comps exam. That said, incredibly cool to have a book that provides perhaps the most comprehensive list of trans technologies.
Finished A Short History of Trans Misogyny by Jules Gill-Peterson (2024) a couple days ago. Very interesting book and a good airplane read (156 pages)! Takes a more narrative approach to trans history than what I was expecting -- likely because it is meant to be a short history -- but it works well.
And so after a very brief hiatus, version 0.7.0 of "learning statistics with R" exists. Full rebuild in quarto, stylistic fixes, "epilogues from 2026" to comment on how the world changed since original publication, and as an added bonus, no longer misgenders the author learningstatisticswithr.com
