If you pay attention to the news, you'll notice that a disproportionaly large number of the anti-ICE and "antifa" protesters who have been charged by the government are transgender. Talking more than 1/10 for a population that's at most 3/100.
I enjoy my life, I go about my business, but I never forget the security I lost, and how quickly I lost it. I think a lot about grief, and in my quiet moments I mourn for the country I thought I was living in, and for the freedom and safety I had until so recently.

This is excellent, because one thing I noticed in my city's mutual aid group is that a lot of people in need don't have personal vehicles, can't afford bus fare, and may have mobility issues. (Also, people who are caregivers for little kids or elderly/disabled folks, and need to take them along.)

See, people always want to make this just about "sports," but the real upshot here is that, 6-3, trans women can't make a claim under the Equal Protection Clause. And if they can't do that, it's hard to see how they have constitutional rights.
