can't see dms 🤷‍♂️

Everyone should play Lurruna's EX mode btw, it massively ramps up enemy counts, respawning enemies, enemy speeds & boss attacks making the game truly feel like a run n gun Can unlock it if you hold left + press charge bomb, then by holding charge bomb in the main menu

The bar is quickly established as an important hub for work and leisure time, but the game (or fan TL) doesn't pass up an opportunity to poke a bit of fun at its own expense.

Hallesch: I'm in a contest with that old man to see who skips out on coming to this place every day.Atelier Elie (PS2) fan translation screenshot. Elie is taling to Dagllas.

Dagllas: But ya know, I'm always seeing the same faces come here. Is it okay for these people to be always coming to a place like this 'very single day?

Note to self: play Pikmin. I know it features a pretty robust time management/attrition mechanic, so I can't help but wonder, although he doesn't explicitly mention MM next to OoT, if the timer system piqued his interest... ...also something something karma scoring, I guess.

Finished replaying the N64 Zeldas this month. Me and Ocarina still don't get along, it's just one of those things. Majora's first 2 dungeons remain wonderful, then the padding kills it. Still, interesting how seemingly influential it was on my fav video game. Weird this one hadn't hit me earlier:

Microsoft should exit the gaming industry and preferably my plane of existence. If BDS was not enough to convince sideliners, what MS did to id is unforgivable. Perhaps the most important western gaming studio in existence - a historied house of culture and art with genre defining talent.

One of the most consistently damaging thought patterns among players is treating skill level as static and games as exams rather than something more like instruments. You walk in with whatever skills you had, you get tested & graded and you walk out. It leads to *a lot* of negative trends

Jude's first original skill in Wild Arms 4 is supposed to be called "Phantom Line", but the US release left out the P by mistake, leaving us with "hantom Line". You can actually fix this yourself since the game lets you rename original skills, but I find hantom Line too amusing to change

In Jude's list of original skills, there's a move called "hantom Line". It's supposed to be "Phantom Line", but the P was left out by mistake

i rly admired 3's story mode's aesthetic. the narrative of the story being that it takes place in the last bunker of humanity, so in order to preserve their culture, they recreated all these nostalgic vistas. but it's melted into architectural-absurdism where none of it logically carries meaning

From the impressive 3-min opening sequence of "The Ghost In The Shell" episode 3. Sequence Director, Storyboard, Animation Director: Bahi JD.

the "Sonic 1 is actually bad" discourse is a good reminder that "Sega fans" and "Sonic fans" are two distinct circles that have a relatively small degree of overlap

i really hope that the takeaway people have from this is either "no organization is perfect" or "we need to hold GDQ, as a community-based event, to a higher standard" and not We Need To Dismantle The Org That Raises $5 Milion A Year For Charity

We have canceled our sponsored stream with SNK. We have heard the concerns from our community regarding this partnership, specifically the company’s majority ownership by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, and the human rights concerns tied to the Saudi government.
