Finally been to see the Odyssey, and whilst I have thoughts there is one presiding opinion: It’s excellent. I need to see it again to take it all in.

Currently working through my games backlog and Jedi: Survivor is one hell of a game. The scope of it, the combat (the lightsaber fantasy!), the traversal and exploration are all fantastic. It is, however, also a janky mess that crashes at least once every couple of hours. Not ideal for a 3y/o game
Why is Copilot suddenly in all my Microsoft programs with no way to disable it? At this rate I’m going to be going back to pen and paper. Try and shoehorn AI into that, twats.
It’s my birthday! There’s an old German tradition that if you pre-order an author’s book on their birthday, you get good luck for a year!*… *there isn’t, but we can start one 😉

Physical media is ownership. Subscription services and digital keys are only a promise of access, revoked at any time by the whims of companies that would burn the world down if it got them an extra penny

If I wanted to buy all my games digitally I’d buy a steam machine, not pay extra for a PlayStation with a disk drive? Tone-deaf and anti-consumer, might start saving for said Steam Machine.
Must be bloody hard to be in a job where every man and his dog thinks they can do it better, without offering any kind of insight or meaningful suggestions.
England lifts the gun it used to shoot itself in the foot over Brexit to its face and slowly pulls the trigger.
Crucial point by John Curtis on BBC - Councils flipping from Labour to Reform are because Labour are losing **to the left**, & Cons to Reform Chasing Reform failed Labour; they lost the base & didn’t convince many on the right (Failed Tories too) Watch everyone learn the wrong lesson anyway

So is Nanny McPhee a benevolent eldrich horror working to an unknowable cosmic design? Or do we think she’s a powerful sorceress cursed/pact-bound to save a quirky family once every so often, like Davy Jones if he worked for social services?
Reform UK's shambles of racism and corruption hang over every election, but Chris Mason doesn't salivate about that.
I hate living in the backstory to a futuristic post-apocalypse game and I guess i need to work on the flavourful yet tragic audio log i leave to prosperity.
someone who writes something has already gone further than the majority who don't write, and that in itself holds immense value to the people who love to read, your "anything" is still better than your "nothing"

It’s profoundly ignorant to suggest that the Pope should be fighting crime on behalf of the Catholic Church. Anyone who was remotely familiar with Roman Catholicism would know that that’s what Daredevil is for
You might think I’m biased (which I probably am) but whoever is doing the special editions over at Black Library Does Not Miss. It’s a work of freakin’ art, before you even get to the juicy, delicious story inside. Bloody lovely stuff.
Why is half of my Instagram feed suddenly anti-democrat/pro-republican “suggestions” that have no discernible relevance to me or my interests? 🧐
A reminder that while am an not aggressively anti-AI, I don’t use it at all. Not for work. Not to dick around. Not to play solo D&D. Nothing. My opinion is that AI is nowhere near ready for market, that people are paying to train it for the corporations, and it is more detrimental than it is useful.
*sigh* If your Kickstarter video/image is AI, I won't back it. If your book has an AI cover, I won't read it. If you're a public supporter of AI use for creative work, I will unfollow you. I cannot stress enough how offensive I find AI use in the arts. It is outright theft, it is lazy, it is gross.
