What’s the protocol for when you say you really don’t like something and then the person you’re talking to says they do like it? Like if I led with “damn I really hated (thing) for XYZ reasons”

fur affinity has been running for 21 years, is one of the largest archives of queer art online, and one of the few art sites that has not switched to some kind of infinite feed bullshit and it's being strangled over "adult" art. suspiciously wealthy furries now is your time to paypig for culture

What makes this situation frustrating is that the bar for what advertisers consider “adult content” is very very low. For example they consider plus size characters, two characters hugging, and “barbie doll nudity” to be adult content, despite these being normal everyday things that are not adult at all. This is why you may see other sites with restrictions on how characters can’t be posed or dressed “too provocatively.” We receive a daily list of items that they have flagged as violations and have to sort through them. If they’re legitimate violations, we re-rate them. If they aren’t, we don’t touch them. Submissions that are not violations of our policies are still held against us. We have had many email conversations, Zoom calls, and even an in-person meeting with representatives to help resolve this to no avail.

Also, let's not have any illusions about what they hoped to achieve with these demands. They did not actually want to ban depictions of hugging. They correctly identified furry as a queer community, so they made a demand they know is impossible to comply with.

1) This isn't about generating games or assets with AI, it's just about using automation tools for some processes like bug testing which isn't inherently bad 2) IGN should be embarrassed for this headline. It doesn't say "AI generation" as in generative AI, it's 世代, "generation" as in "time period"
