I visited Dounreay Nuclear power plant as a school child 48 years ago. It stopped generating in 1994, yet it is still being decommissioned, with a workforce of 1,000+. So don't tell me that wind power curtailment is expensive, or about the landfill of benign, end of life, turbine blades.
Immigrants haven't taken your job. A company fired you for cheap labor to maximize profits. That's it. The most absurd part is how people still blame immigrants. The company didn't even have to pay them to.
Y'know what? I've had a change of heart. If Repubs want to say McConnell is still alive, I'm good with it. If Kentuckians don't want representation in Congress, that's their business. If they lose a vote in the Senate just to pretend he's okay, that means a saner government for the rest of us.

Back in 2020, as a pediatric hematologist married to a physician, we signed up to volunteer in a field hospital for patients with COVID. We wrote our wills and worried about getting our kids sick. I posted about terrifying outcomes in kids and received death threats. Fauci is a goddamn hero.
