Talk nerdy to me. Science, video games, cartoons He/Him, Ireland 🍉#actuallyautistic and old

I see this game, 'The Last Gaeltacht,' is getting a push in the Irish media at the moment. Sadly, it is crammed with AI slop. It's especially bad in this case, as this is precisely the kind of game that I could see schools allowing kids to play, due to it being ostensibly educational.

One bit of advice for new #PhDStudents... Remember the PhD isn't your whole life - even if you are led to believe that by faculty. Your mental and physical health always comes first. You are allowed to enjoy the next few years of your life, your life doesn't get put on hold by studying.

We don't say a car crashed into a building like its a car's fault. A person drove into a building. It doesn't matter if they had their hands on the wheel or not, they are responsible. AI did not do this. A person did this. It's a person every time. A person is responsible, a person is accountable

Former strongly pro-AI academics are starting to change their tune as the world becomes increasingly filled with the slop they helped to advocate for. It's like raising kids honestly, they just have to learn things the hard way sometimes.
