yeah it turns out if you keep shooting people in the street and kidnapping children and making it impossible to get food or healthcare or education and then gloat about it, everybody hates you
for the American voters: IGNORE THE POLLS! this is literally what we did in Brazil! it doesn't matter if your party is ahead or behind, GO VOTE! some people give up on voting because they're sure they'll win or lose and their vote doesn't matter AND THAT'S WHEN YOU LOSE! WAKE UP EARLY AND VOTE!
I saw a post saying that any critic would get a backlash after trashing a popular film. And I'm just not sure that should be normal. It's fun when a critic hates something! We should want reviewers with high standards and weird/obtuse opinions. A film isn't a sports team you support!
EMILY WILSON@emilyrcwilson.bsky.social · 3mo agoI wrote about the Nolan Odyssey for the LRB. I'll summarize some of my main points below, in case you don't feel like reading all that. www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...

I made this Pride flag using only NASA images and our team thought it would be cool to share on social (I work on the NASA heliophysics communications team), but it's getting all sorts of hate on the bird app and Fbook. Thought y'all might be more appreciative of it here. ☺️🏳️🌈💖
im extremely disappointed, especially in his likening the rest of the animation community to a pregnant woman he can just cut out at will to get what he actually wants: a baby. it's a crude analogy but it speaks to a deeper truth about how us creatives are actually viewed by some: an inconvenience.
Happy #indieanimationday! I make Dungeon Flippers, a fantasy real-estate show! Check out this sneak-peek at episode TWO!
The first trailer for LAIKA's new film ‘WILDWOOD’ has been released. The film follows a girl who enters a magical forbidden forest to rescue her kidnapped baby brother. In theaters on October 23.
It's easy for the cryptkeeper to sit there and moralize. Make his little puns about our transgressions. All he needs to do is take care of his damn crypt. His life is simple

Orbán's electoral crushing is a far greater achievement than most people outside Hungary realise. He systemically consolidated power for 16 years, fixed the electoral map, abused govt power for political purposes & censored media. The hurdles that Hungarians overcame for this moment were immense.
Finished this shot for class! Wanted to animate how i've been feeling
This whole concept in LOTR is one of my favourite parts of the whole book. “Evil fucks up because evil people fundamentally cannot imagine that others are not motivated by the same things as them” is another theme that feels relevant right now
The defining trait of AI is the sheer unfathomable amount of resources it uses both digitally and physically in order to still be pretty shit at whatever it does.

ceej@ceej.online · 3y agofor my money, there has yet to be a single movie moment that surpasses the sheer kinetic hilarity of brendan fraser hucking a chair at kevin j. o’connor in The Mummy. I have probably watched that 17 second clip on YouTube more than any other video
Hey yall, so a $40 oil change morphed into a $2400 car repair bill and I'm several paychecks behind for some complicated reasons. This couldn't come at a worse time as I need my car for school, work, and more, so I need some help! Any likes or reposts are also appreciated! (1/2) ko-fi.com/domalomn
Apparently, even in the fantasy world, I’m a nerd. Very close to being a forest nerd with a bow and arrow though.
