Television did not break me. I sometimes repost political and NSFW content.

"Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, recently appointed to the role by the new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, meets Secretary of State Rubio in Washington" is one of those lines that would sound perfectly plausible to anyone in 2015, but explaining the intervening period would give them an aneurysm.

the biggest presidential scandal in history. jeffrey epstein was a close friend and business associate of trump and they did crimes together! against children! its all pretty much out in the open now but its a smaller story than hillary's email server was for some reason

BREAKING: The New Mexico Department of Justice has sued Acting AG Todd Blanche and the DOJ, requesting the court for access to unredacted Epstein-related investigative files that the DOJ has been withholding.

Looks like a 10-15 point polling miss in Michigan regardless of who wins. And people have been writing a lot of electability takes using this data. It’s dangerous out there folks be safe

I love how the pictures for every listing on Zillow are either "digitally staged" with some AI filter that adds extra windows or appear to have been taken on a cell phone camera from 2003.

The amount of reading you have to do on Reddit to background check any purchase over $50 is wild. Side note: you absolutely cannot trust Amazon reviews because sellers routinely give away free product and cash in exchange for five star reviews.

Not really disagreeing, but a related factor is the research/decision fatigue if you do decide quality/longevity is worth the cost. I do it for kitchen equipment etc; quickly run out of spoons/finances to do it for clothing.

Costco is the opposite of Amazon because they have a team of professional buyers who stock their shelves with a limited selection of high quality goods that provide good value. And unlike Target and Walmart, they have not opened up their e-commerce platforms to third-party sellers of cheap garbage.

I am a theological protestant, but when it comes to the religion of consumerism, I’m decidedly not. There’s no “priesthood for all consumers”, most of you are dumb as hell, and you should let someone who has expertise and an interest in your repeat business do the pickin’.
