See this is the whole thing I have with thinking about WHY we have updated language. We didn't change the language around learning and/or cognitive disabilities/delays for funsies. We did it because comparing ignorance/shittiness to real diagnoses is fucked up and wrong. I see this with gender too-

RFK Jr wants you to believe he cares about the lives of children. Yet here he is clearly stating that “only sick kids SHOULD die of measles”. No kids should die from measles. It’s a vaccine preventable illness. He’s saying sick and disabled children are expendable. He’s a eugenicist.
Just because it’s true doesn’t mean it’s acceptable or that you should make it worse on purpose. All this because he couldn’t keep his hands or his dick to himself.
