i am so tired of screaming from the rooftops that we have a looming, avoidable crisis of evictions brewing. everyone knows it, but yet government and philanthropy have no solutions. unpaid volunteers of rent funds are doing the work that the people who control the purse strings refuse to do

Developers of LIHTC properties are generally giddy over proposed increase & changes to LIHTC in House resolution. By itself, it's good to have more LIHTC $$. But if LIHTC tenants get hit w/Medicaid & SNAP cuts, many tenants will have trouble paying rent & that could destabilize LIHTC properties.

Andrew Cuomo isn't among the mayoral candidates getting public matching funds today, per a list of disbursements that the Campaign Finance Board chair just read off. Not yet clear why Cuomo's being denied. His campaign said last month it expected $2M+ in matching funds.
