Not sure who needs to hear this, but if you aren’t directly involved with the creation or funding of a free-to-listen-to podcast then maybe don’t send ALL CAPS emails to the creator complaining about how annoyed you are with the lack of new episodes. I’m a person not a Content Machine.

I think one of the most important skills a person can learn nowadays is recognizing when they are making up a person in their head to get mad at and how they can step back from that and ground themselves. No shade. It's an extremely easy behavior to fall into and it will erode you.

say what you will about the internet, but it’s undeniably the best way to find new stupid stuff to be insane about every day

My Summer of (Movie) Love series continues today with another sweaty, summer favorite of 1986 — MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE. I love it and make no apologies for that either. 😆 Open to free & paid subscribers: from-the-desk-of-the-horror-chick.ghost.io/summer-of-mo... Cheers! 🚛🚛🚛

Mamdani got into office and instantly: • Froze rent for 2 million New Yorkers • Cut subway fares in half for low-income riders • Fully funded NYC parks • Added $680M for public schools • Launched free child care for 2-year-olds If establishment politicians actually wanted to help you, they could.

celebrating the good parts of america today. if you don’t think there are any good parts, just look to all the stuff the fascists are desperate to stifle

I honestly don’t understand how anyone in Audio Fiction can afford to do anything. Submitting for awards. Hiring people to work on shows. I want to do more, but everything seems to drastically outpace the money most shows are able to bring in.

one of the best parts of being a parent is letting your kids stay up late eating ice cream and then being baffled the next morning when they’re out of their minds

When I recommend this show to people, especially of my age group, I say- remember when you were young and you heard a new Stephen King movie/show was coming and you hoped it was good, but then it almost always wasn’t. Widow’s Bay is what we were hoping for.

Widow’s Bay is the best show on TV right now. A horror/comedy that does both genres extremely well. Its Parks & Rec + Stephen King and I cannot recommend it enough.

There's more books, movies, TV shows, video games, music and other arts being made more than any other point in history, but ppl say it all feels hollow and we're in cultural decline. I dunno what to tell you.Spend more time with the stuff you like instead of moving on to the next new shiny thing.
