Bsky outlet for my geek stuff

I find the "rules are toys" framing of TTRPG design useful for several reasons: 1. The idea that system matters is reducible to recognising that toys have affordances; while there's no "wrong" way to play with a toy, no amount of open-mindedness will readily fit a bicycle through a basketball hoop.

Just want to put out feelers for a TTRPG writer/dev or two who would be interested in collaborating on a pulpy scifi/fantasy project in 2026 with myself and another artist/writer. Ideally someone who'd fuck with "Frank Frazetta but queer" as an aesthetic. Would love 2 chat if this sounds interesting

If you keep catching authors in your favourite genre using AI, and you catch them because of the "you're right! ", maybe the stuff you're reading was already mostly slop! Human made slop exists, and sometimes that's what we want, but still!

Sam Altman: hey I made a machine that stole literally all your stuff in order to make CSAM of your child actors, sometimes it encourages people to kill themselves Disney: Holy shit here's a billion dollars Altman: the machine loses more than that each week but thank you. Soon it will become god.

Also after 14 years in London this was me breaking the unspoken rule of DON'T SPEAK TO PEOPLE ON THE TUBE Fortunately I've just become a citizen so they can't kick me out.

Met two nice people on the tube reading @lackingceremony.bsky.social The Quiet Year! They were looking for recommendations for other games that do world building - I went with the classics Microscope and Dialect, and directed them to Bluesky!
