we should go back to anime having 52 episodes a season because what do you mean goodbye lara is almost half over? like all modern anime it needs time for a beach episode, a christmas episode, a polarizing middle arc, an episode for the VAs to stealth-plug their pop group, and 4-6 “Nanami episodes”

The thing about this is - the fact that this is even a goal for them makes it clear that SM are flat out just in the business of trying to humiliate a social minority. They just hate trans people, there's not more to their campaign than animus.

Sorry for the SM graphic but they have lost their JR attempting to ensure that trans people must, under all circumstances, be searched by a police officer of the same sex assigned at birth - including intimate and strip searching. Occasional good news

We are extremely disappointed that the High Court has ruled against our challenge to guidance from the NPCC and BTP that allows trans-identifying men to request opposite-sex strip-searching from a female officer if she 'consents'. The court accepted a series of extraordinary legal arguments from police lawyers, including an analogy suggesting that opposite-sex police searches are consensual' in a similar way to private citizens consenting to sadomasochistic acts. If Parliament had wanted to allow people in custody to request to be strip-searched by an officer of the opposite sex, it would have written this into the Police and Criminal Evidence Act. The anti-trans group LGB Alliance posted this to Twitter, and I find it genuinely funny. Once you read the methodology section on their survey, it's clear that this survey only tells you that people who already support this group... agree with the group.

LGB Alliance "We surveyed lesbian, gay and bisexual people. 94% felt uncomfortable being categorized under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. 87% felt uncomfortable being categorised as "queer.""SURVEY METHODS Sample: On 4th May 2023, a link to a Google Form survey was emailed to 7,021 LGB Alliance supporters. These were individuals who subscribed to the LGB Alliance newsletter, had attended one or more LGB Alliance events or who had made donations to the charity. 2,133 responses were received. This response rate of 30% is reasonable for a survey of this type. Questionnaire and screening: The landing page explained the survey was for lesbian, gay and bisexual supporters of LGB Alliance. The aims were described as, ‘to help us understand the attitudes that LGB Alliance supporters have around common terms used to categorise LGB people. The findings of this survey will help us advocate more effectively for the needs of LGB people.’ It was explained that the survey would be kept confidential in accordance with GDPR, and that their personal information is protected by law. A contact email was provided for those who wanted more information. The first two questions were screening questions. Non-supporters were screened out at Q1: ‘This survey is for LGB supporters of LGB Alliance. Before we start the survey, can you confirm you are a supporter of LGB Alliance?’ Those who indicated they were not a supporter, didn’t know, or preferred not to say were screened out. A scan of responses to the open-ended questions suggested there were a tiny number of individuals who appeared to be detractors rather than supporters of LGB Alliance who continued with the survey. All those who answered ‘yes’ at Q1 were included in the analysis as they would not have altered the results due to their very small numbers. It still confuses me that lots of people prefer the Bone Temple to 28 Years Later. It is still a really good film but the most interesting and pointy and weird things are sanded off. The first one is a genuine masterpiece. The definitive Brexit text. The second one is just a really good horror film.
