If you want to ragebait yourself, watch this. It’s a lot of fear mongering and bullshit to say, effectively, that we’re doing a shock doctrine and we’re abandoning our climate targets. Happy Canada Day Eve, everyone.

The Carney government just gave itself sweeping new powers to authorize the use of any pesticide if it unilaterally decides it is in the interest of "national food security." The legislative changes came after meetings between government officials and the pesticide industry's leading lobby group.

When you inform someone that a video they found online was generated by AI, they don’t feel impressed or amazed, they feel embarrassed. They feel like they’ve been had. This is not a sign of consumer confidence. It is so self-evidently awful, that using it is like telegraphing your gullibility.

Canada often gets a free pass because it compares favorably to the USA, but Canada rejected *more than half* of all World Cup visitor applications. Under 11% were approved from Ghana. Meanwhile, *none* were rejected from Australia, Germany, France, Ireland, or Israel. www.ctvnews.ca/canada/artic...
