My time on social media got a lot easier when I gave myself permission to not worry about unsolicited advice (criticism) from strangers, especially strangers whose accounts don't have their name and whose avatars don't have their pictures.

When describing an image, consider what information, context, and knowledge your audience will have. As today is "May The Fourth," we can use a "Star Wars"-themed example. #MayTheFourth #StarWars
A common thing I hear is that AI can be used to "solve" accessibility. There are many things I don't care for in that mindset, but one of the things is that so much about accessibility depends on the context of the situation. AI is not going to be able know why a person made certain content choices.

If your organization is using AI to write alt text, always review it to make sure it's accurate and appropriate. AI won't necessarily understand how or why an image is being used.

Also, replacing a letter this ruins content filtering. We have all these tools for muting terms we don't want to see, for whatever the reason, but they DO depend on matching spelling. Getting cutesy with euphemisms and self-censoring defeats the whole point.

This includes people with cognitive and reading disabilities, and those learning the language. Screen reader users won't necessarily know what the word is meant to be, as it could sound like gibberish.
This! Please. Spell out the words. It also means we can't block words or phrases as easily, either. I know I sometimes struggle with understanding when people replace letters like this.
