I know not everyone can be a liturgy nerd, but thinking that a maniple works like a halter top is a bridge too far.

I will personally mail ten bucks to the Texas public school teacher who is forced to teach her students the Bible, so she brings in a nice old Ethiopian Orthodox Bible with the Book of Enoch in it and a big icon of the Theotokos on the cover.
I'd totally teach kids lessons on 2 Esdras and 4 Maccabees.

If you think about it, would the CofE *really* care if I didn't buy into a trinitarian God? Would it be a don't ask, don't tell situation?
As a kid, I wanted to do some mix of three things: 1) join the military, 2) be some sort of preacher/monastic/clergyman, or 3) go into academia and teach. I did none of these. And while things turned out pretty well, sometimes it makes me sad looking back.
Because of my allergy to musing on the past more than I do, I honestly have no photos on my phone/computer older than three years.
