“Character matters.” U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff picked up the endorsement today from former U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake, an Arizona Republican whose clashes with President Donald Trump prompted him to back other prominent Democrats. #gapol www.ajc.com/politics/202...

Former GOP Sen. Jeff Flake backs Jon Ossoff, saying ‘character matters’

The Arizona Republican has been one of the loudest critics of President Donald Trump. He says Ossoff's character outweighs any policy disagreements they might have.

Mohammad Nazeer Paktiawal fought alongside US Special Forces in his home country of Afghanistan, and survived. It was instead ICE custody that killed him. He came legally to the US, where he applied for asylum. He was detained by ICE anyway, and died of an unspecified allergic reaction in custody.

Justice Dems of course was started by Cenk Uygur, who was right-wing, then at least pretended to be left on his The Young Turks show, now is promoting Tucker Carlson. And Cenk gave his nephew Hasan Piker a slot on The Young Turks; Hasan was there during the Justice Dems/Brand New Congress effort.

Ro Khanna has known the woman who runs Track AIPAC since 2017. And for all that time he's been mixed up in what looks awfully like fuckery to try to mess with the far left and push candidates into Congress who can be targets for the GOP. (AOC seems like a backfire - someone actually effective.)

All this stuff is sketchy but Ro Khanna has been part of it for a decade. Track AIPAC is run by Cory Archibald, an expat defense contractor who helped run the Sanders-linked "Brand New Congress" in 2016-2018; they partnered with the Justice Dems, which Khanna joined in 2017 bsky.app/profile/capi...

Cenk co-founded the Justice Dems, who partnered with Brand New Congress. The expat who helped run BNC, Cory Archibald, now runs Track AIPAC. A lot of this is fuckery to push the left into extremism. Really doubt that Archibald is the Marxist she claims to be.

I did not realize how crooked an outfit "Track AIPAC" seems to be. They appear to list J Street contributions as being part of AIPAC or functionally the same thing. Their "individual expenditures" list seems to include a lot of giving from people who are simply Jews.

"It was just a 4-year-old Jewish boy wanted to go to a party. And your father uses free speech rights to object to the fact that he was rejected...because of his religion. And Tucker Carlson thinks that is repugnant." Catherine Rampell responds to an on-air attack by Tucker Carlson.

Let me be clear. I don’t support AIPAC. Quite the opposite. But I also have major issues with Track AIPAC. It’s a shady project.   Track AIPAC isn’t a neutral watchdog. It’s a political operation with its own PAC and a very clear agenda. 🧵
