Calgary and Edmonton are just too spread out for public transit? Edmonton pioneered modern LRT in North America. Calgary’s C-Train was the highest ridership LRT among all cities in the US and Canada for 2025, beating out systems in much bigger cities.

A small population spread out over a vast geography with harsh weather is more the reason eg The geography of the island of Montreal physically restricted sprawl thus is pretty dense, walkable/bikeable with great mass transit vs Calgary Edmonton or Winnipeg

Letter to the Editor: Bike lanes, while important to some, shouldn’t top our list of things to tackle in a city where it’s cold six months a year. It’s just not a priority.

Accidentally radicalized myself by reading and asking questions.

Back to school is a scheduled reminder of how broken our parking enforcement system is. No penalty bc they’re only there a few hrs; the complaint isn’t actioned for 3 days; rinse, repeat. I HATE TELUS. It doesn’t matter how much I pay for internet now. The fact that they have atrocious customer service negates any “deals” they have. You know what I like about my current provider? They don’t hassle me with promos constantly. They have good customer service.
