The Atmosphere should be sold as a Community Garden. Plant your Lexicon tomatoes. Have your neighbor plant their own tomatoes using the infrastructure you planted. Grow the garden, communally. Reap benefits of the growth of the garden. Continue giving back.

The Atmosphere is a new open network of apps and services that all work together. It's like truly owning your Google Account. Instead of every app being its own walled garden, Atmosphere apps share a common foundation, so you only need one account to use them all, and they can easily share data.

“There’s a lot of unnecessary anger at people who don’t look like us, and pray like us, and walk like us, and cheer like us. In Lawrence, we are wide open to embracing something new.” On the love affair between Lawrence and Algeria for The Guardian: www.theguardian.com/football/202...

I was reminded last night that on the deepest level, I was always committed to centering messaging because posts and comments are argumentative and antisocial by design, but DMing is having conversations in relationship. If you’re not DMing, you’re not communicating. You’re just yelling.

'A simple (perfect) life' - my spring landscape is finally finished! An apple orchard in bloom, old railway, sheep with their lambs and an allotment being prepared for growing :) Zoom in to see all the other tiny details too... I think this might be my favourite aerial embroidery I've ever done!

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn aerial view landscape. It depicts an apple orchard in bloom in the centre, allotments to the left and sheep in their field at the bottom. Train tracks go past the top of the orchard and allotment.Sewn train tracks past an apple orchard (to the left). An angled view of a sewn vegetable allotment surrounded by rough land, trees and with train tracks to the left.An angled view of embroidered bushes and paths going through them leading to an orchard, allotment and fields.

Desperately, DESPERATELY want to see a packaging system for "i have an application, it uses web ui tech, i want to ship it to desktop, but it DOES NOT WANT a localhost socket" that developers can pick up and run with easily. Getting shellshocked from seeing so many screenshots with localhost:3000 😮‍💨

A while back, Andrej Karpathy said the app store will be replaced by generated, disposable software," and Amjad Masad predicted that the value of all application software will go to zero I think this "ephemeral software hypothesis" is wrong, though, and I want to explain why:
