Workers at Swaybox Studios, the team behind the upcoming Batman animated film 'Dynamic Duo,' have voted to unionize with IATSE. The decision, certified by the National Labor Relations Board, marks a significant step for crew members on the Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and DC Studios project.

I love seeing a beginner artists drawings but especially when its clear that they are already trying to go out of their comfort zone from the get go. You started recently and are already trying group compositions and perspective and this and that. Thats so cool and powerful, keep it up!!

One of my big exciting ideas was to get my ASL friend into a mocap studio to record gestures for Vae's dialogue. Huge technical and financial hurdle for a little fella. Shifted gears and redesigned the dialogue system to be art centric. Placeholders for now, but my idea is intact.

As someone who is their own worst enemy a lot, a reminder: It's okay to scale back/simplify a project. Even temporarily! Exciting ideas like to run off and create big goals, and get complicated. Don't get overwhelmed and give up! It's okay to do just the basics, come back later for fancy stuff! 💜

Lotta people out there acting like "gatekeeping" means "you have to learn it." Art, programming, writing, etc are skills. They have to be learned. You not being able to do something because you haven't learned how to do it isn't those people gatekeeping something from you, you just haven't learned.

I am exasperated with people accusing programmers of "gatekeeping" programming. We were practically dragging people through the gate. Do you know why a mindless LLM can tell you so much great programming information? It's because we've been sharing that information for free online for decades.

Just realized I have a quadrilogy of art based on artist-led internet media that went on to become big productions: Puppycat, #idwtbamg, Gameoverse, and Nimona. The pace is hopefully just starting to pick up.

Saw a couple of posts from US artists saying BSky is now asking them for age verification. Please follow the link in this repost. I’m the UK we’ve had this crap going on for over a year. The methods listed here work great, it’s what I use it (no way I’m providing personal info!)

UK folks: If UBlock is not working anymore for you to bypass the UK age restriction rules (no way I'm giving them personal info), please be aware that the codes to copy/paste into UBlock's filter rules have changed! gist.github.com/mary-ext/6e2...

I think what happened culturally with the Joker is that good writers understood he was a miserable loser lashing out and would explore that. Where as after Dark Knight he accidentally became a type of hero figure FOR miserable losers who lash out, without any honest exploration, only myth making.

I'm glad BTAS understood that Joker is most fun when he's deeply petty. His best stories are rarely "tries to destroy Gotham" but rather "gets mad that someone cut him off in traffic" or "wants to copyright fish" or "bombed during stand-up" or "a casino stole his likeness."
