We're in the middle of a global backlash and it sucks, but withholding votes doesn't train the candidates to listen to us over all the other voices in their ear. It trains them to ignore us. If we can't be counted on to make an effectual vote, our opinions don't matter.

This is a powerful story from a trans Texan (who's also quite a talented independent journalist). I've been arguing that trans people have the right to be upset with Talarico, and I think we do. This is the case for vote for him anyway, eloquently made, and by someone with the standing to make it.
