The media's takeaway from an El-Sayed win is the same as it would have been from a Stevens win, and the same as it will be if El-Sayed wins the general, or if he loses it: everyone, no matter who they are, needs to take several steps to the right.

In other Michigan news, the state looks set to elect it's first transgender lawmaker. Joanna Whaley won her Democratic primary and will compete in November for a state house seat, beating a primary opponent who tried and failed to disqualify her for not running under her deadname

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. It's rarely ever said so outright but basically the thesis of the Stevens surrogates as of today is that Arab Americans cannot possibly have any legitimate grievances about someone who is openly and proudly supportive of a country that kills their families lol

If Stevens wins, she will have to engage in very little "healing" behavior before November. AES and his fans? I don't even know if they care about healing. It seems, from their behavior, they want harm. Harm towards the Democratic coalition. We'll have to see what happens.

Price is now the only clear signal available at the time of purchase. Most other sources of quality indicators has been corrupted: reviews are by bots, adverts are AI slop, influencers are paid, brand names are sold on to drop-shippers. Buying on price and claimed features is rational behaviour.

Today is Roma Holocaust Memorial Day. Around 500,000 Roma & Sinti people were killed by the Nazis in the Porajmos. There was no state given to them after the war. Commemoration of their suffering is often diminished or forgotten. Racism towards Romani people across Europe remains acceptable.

I can't stress enough what a crisis this is. Trump's own intelligence agencies concluded that Iran attacked Minnesota's critical infrastructure and Trump is saying that it's Minnesota's own fault and denying it was Iran. The federal government won't defend blue states in a literal war.

This is a crisis of federalism. Tim Walz is asserting as fact that Iran attacked water infrastructure in Minnesota and several other states. And Trump is saying it's Minnesota's own fault they were attacked as part of a war he started.

New from 404 Media: Google Earth has introduced an AI feature that lets anyone fabricate completely bullshit satellite images. In our own tests, we added a “bomb blast and crater” to an area of Los Angeles. This is a misinformation time bomb, will 100% be abused www.404media.co/google-earth...
