just learned every major chinese app has its own custom markup language fork of HTML for writing websites: AXML & ACSS, WXML & WXSS, TTML & TTSS.. crazy how the web is just built on a completely different foundation there & websites dont really exist

while tim cook is riding trump in the white house, maybe it's time to deconstruct the myth that apple is a good example for the design world: their products are by default ecocidal, their aesthetics do not age well at all, their creative choices are rooted in the racist philosophy of modernism.

since the "google is now training gemini on your email contents" thing keeps bumping around here: it's _not happening_. I say this not to defend google but because I know a lot of people that have broken their filtering and made their lives much more annoying from sheer misinformation.

i used millions of files from @archive.org to make a website where you can watch how the internet evolved scroll through home videos and news stories, unedited selfies and collaged memes, all merged in one timeline alivetheory.net
