I met an actual shaved poodle today. Well, a shaved labradoodle. He is a trainee for Caring Canines at a nearby hospital (where I met him). He had a Puppy-Typical Incident and had to be shaved except for his tail which still has a big ol' floof on the end. I told him he was doing great.

Everyone! Please give me your favorite US tea shops, bonus for those with NYC tasting rooms or who let you order samples online. I am hunting a loose leaf green tea for people who don't like green tea. Two of the four people are also allergic to mint so have to be extra careful.

If anyone finds one of these from PS 6, please please link me. I have so few good childhood memories, and the doorknobs are one of them. Most of the school is, actually; it was the school I went to after second grade that sucked.

My favorite doorknobs are the ones the New York City public schools installed at the turn of the 20th century. You can still occasionally find one on eBay!

There have been so many impeachable offenses, but lying about how you were a hero on a day that 2,753 people died in NYC in the 9/11 disaster—when you were on the other side of town, safely calling local media to brag about how you now had the tallest downtown building—is such a despicable one

Here is a guest on Tucker Carlson’s podcast saying that algebra is a conspiracy by the Jews to turn people into “good little goy slaves.” I wish I was joking.

I don’t remember whose insight this is, but it blew my mind when I first read that to understand American history you have to get that race law was designed to increase the number of enslavable people (one-drop rule) and decrease the number of claimants to indigenous land (blood quantum)
