Expecting members of the public with a magic “We can always tell” sixth-sense for knowing which letter was stamped on someone’s birth certificate, is quite a novel way enforcing a law that applies to ORGANISATIONS, NOT PEOPLE! 🤷🏼‍♀️ It does encourage vigilante lunatics though! 😖

I personally find it reassuring and not at all an indication that I'm listening to a dipshit crank when an interview begins with the regular line, "It wouldn't usually be proportionate to have somebody on the door of every single toilet or changing room asking people their sex before they went in."

Today, the EHRC Code takes effect, restricting which toilets trans people can use. As a proud ally, I backed EDM 240 calling it unworkable. This debate is still dominated by people who don’t understand the realities of trans people’s lives.

The third reason was having gender-critical men and women in the UK government, holding the positions that mattered most in Equalities and Health.
