Watching British people try really hard to explain why American-style healthcare "isn't all that bad" is fucking infuriating. You're right, folks -- it's not as bad as people are saying online. IT'S MUCH, MUCH WORSE. Source: Someone who had to navigate the American healthcare system for 40 years.

“Protect users from discrimination and harassment” is doing a whole lot of heavy lifting for a code that is explicitly designed to target, harass, and enable discrimination against trans people, who should be protected by the Equality Act 2010

Do try to remember that the EHRC guidance only affects service providers and not employment, so if you work somewhere where there are toilets or changing rooms for employees that aren’t open to the public then your employers are wrong if they try to stop you from using facilities for your gender

I love my kid. She's generous, brilliant, & lights up every room she's in. We picked her up after 3 wks at camp, & while she was there she spent some of her allowance on little gifts that reminded her of us. It's such a small thing, but it says so much about the kind of person she's becoming. ❤️
