The thing that's very funny about Elon Musk and his Odyssey ire is that he is new to Right Wing Grifting and didn't remember the first rule of demagoguing which is to pick a soft target.

The NYT could have written a news story about this, with actual sources. Or at the very least they could have interviewed Ellison & asked him some tough questions. Instead they just handed over the most valuable media real estate in the world to a billionaire nepo baby to lobby for his company.

Another window into why even non-profit housing is so expensive. Saanich delays led to an extra $9milliom (!!) in costs. No one in Saanich is held accountable so they keep dragging their feet and increasing costs. bcbusiness.ca/real-estate/...

This is just a really disheartening story. I am steadily more convinced cities should have no powers related to land use, save perhaps checking that the permit meets BC building code.
