Do you know how hard it is to mentally get back in the saddle for the day after having one of your favourite video essayists show up in your DMs to laugh directly in your face? CAUSE I SURE DO

You played the recorder in part to strengthen your fine motor skills and in part to introduce you to basic music theory concepts like rhythm, the C-major scale, and reading basic music notes. Your teachers wanted to make elementary music education available to all, not just the rich.

Discomfort is an essential part of growth and wouldn’t it be so embarrassing to be the exact same person thirty years from now, in a totally different world, because you were so averse to discomfort?

I am not a trans woman. I am nonbinary. Agender, as far as I can tell as of now. But I keep posting this: I was not socialized male. I was brutalized to perform a kind of masculinity and I am resentful about it "oh you have male socialization" means "you are not who you are, you are tainted"
I'm reluctant to speak up on trans topics these days because it's often not worth the pain caused, so I'm probably going to regret this, but disappointingly a lot of people need to hear this. Accusing trans women of "male socialization" is an astonishingly cruel, callous, and spiteful thing to say.
If you do not hold tigerbee, I will chuck them at you

My hot take is that fantasy is in fact way fucking cooler with guns, because you have the opportunity to make a Magic Gun, which whips
The only reason firearms would look out of place in the type of fantasy I see is because the author, much like OP, doesn't know about their history and can't imagine making fantasy weapons out of them.
