Engineer, travel aficionado, and public figure. But I'm really just here to meme.
Oh by the way, next week’s #AtmosphereSessions I’ll be talking to the amazing backend team from @cocore.dev - @devingaffney.com, @rchowe.com, and @ngerakines.me about their absolutely incredible AI cooperative project! Atmo will be up shortly!
I just dropped my phone. It's fine, but I got a push notification a minute later from the Apple Store app saying I could buy a new iPhone.
The cool thing that makes co/core and darkbloom.dev (who wrote the paper on this topic) possible is that Apple ships secure enclave with every Mac.
Announcing co/core: a social computing experiment from the Graze team
Just a wildly ambitious thing to build - so grateful to @hipstersmoothie.com, @rchowe.com, and @ngerakines.me in helping bring this thing out into the world finally. We wanted to get this out in December but the stars did not align - excited to hear what folks think here!

Spirit airlines trading cards are about to become the hottest commodity for a certain subset of nerds.
Once you start seeing missing spaces in public web content due to how React formats line breaks, you can't stop seeing it.
A client (who doesn't use Bluesky) sent me a "new" AI generated logo for their company today and asked me to put it on their creative. I had to rage-write a blog post about logo design to calm down.

OK, I've been a failure as a father. I was satisfied with Brio wooden train layouts. When I could have been building this. The Xing's World Cat Metro. I bow to you, sir.
Custom feeds are the singular theory of action for growing the open social web and reorienting distribution and monetization in the attention economy. I don't have all the answers, but the future of social is becoming clearer everyday. jshaked.leaflet.pub/3mhqtyaufyc26

I just got a capacity limitation starting a GPU instance on AWS at *midnight* in us-east-1. Crazy.
There is a trope in VC fueled startup companies that are "wildly successful decacorns" or whatever that basically just reduce to "what if federal crime, but with a computer 🤔"
One of the craziest things about Musk-era twitter is that because linking to anything is penalized by the algo, no one uses links and you have NO IDEA where any of the info you see is coming from. It's madness!
We're delighted to be hosting @richferro.com's NFL Playoffs custom feed in collaboration with @bsky.app today! This is a shining example of something only the open social web can do, and why open social will win 🧵
Merry Christmas and I hope Jólaköttur the Yule cat didn’t visit last night 😆🎄🐈⬛ (The Yule cat of Icelandic folklore is supposed to eat people who do not receive new clothing before Christmas Eve)
