💯 and it is ridiculous that our govt will be spending billions in public money on pipelines that will be ready to use as we hit peak oil globally. Once again, our govt privatizes the profits and socializes the losses. Who benefits? Not Canadians, that’s for sure…

Instead of spending at least $50 billion of public money on fueling more climate chaos, Canadians deserve a government that invests in building the green economy of tomorrow – creating good jobs, lowering costs, and protecting our future.

One more interesting point: this spring I sat down with Sharyn Alfonsi of 60 Minutes for an extensive interview about my Epstein investigation. Subsequently, CBS pulled the segment and fired the reporter. The MAGA buyout of media has unquestionably aided the Trump administration’s cover up here.

Bombshell new report out from my investigators this morning spanning our four year investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s financial records. This report shows exactly how Wall Street protected Epstein and enabled his sex trafficking for decades. Mega thread following with some key points:

Mark Carney has: -scrapped consumer carbon tax -scrapped oil/gas emissions cap -cut $1.3B from environment Canada -weakened industrial carbon pricing -axed 2 billion trees program -approved 1M barrels/day pipeline -weakened greenwashing laws While this is happening:

Five straight years warmer than anything observed before 2023 (Current record +1.53 degrees warming) en route to 2 degrees by 2030

If you're scared about being the only person wearing a mask, I can tell you that most people do not care. I've been masking for the past 6 years. I've travelled to several different countries in that time. I've never had Covid and I've endured a handful of snarky comments at most. Be brave.

If you haven't been masking, give it a try. What do you have to lose? Just wear one in crowds and on planes, trains, and buses. Find a style that fits, so you don't futz with it. You don't have to get sick all the time.

Long COVID-19 is now the leading chronic illness in kids, and thousands are dead. Hundreds of thousands of kids watched a parent die because they brought COVID home from unsafe schools. People like you always erase them from your fictionalized history.

There are working class and vulnerable kids who will never have the life they should have had because of school closures. Let’s address that too, shall we?

Policies set forth in early months of global SARS-CoV-2 outbreak did *NOT* merely result in temporary public health failure. They laid cornerstone for complete decimation & politicization of the entire scientific community. (What I call #PoliticalHealth‼️ 🤬) www.wsws.org/en/articles/...

Who died and why: COVID-19, class and mass death in the United States

Across both the Trump and Biden administrations, official public health policy forced working-class and minority Americans to bear the pandemic's highest death toll.

Let’s be clear here, when scientists say mistakes were made at the start of the pandemic, we DO NOT mean that we did too much. We mean not socially distancing quickly enough, not making tests widely available, and not acknowledging COVID is airborne and distributing N95 masks to everyone.

"By the end of 2030," reports NYT, the amount of energy used by data centers"is expected to quadruple, eclipsing the power used by all countries in South America and Africa combined." This is extinctionism.

Offer them water. Ask if they need something with sugar but ALSO ask if they need something with salt. Electrolytes like LMNT or Liquid IV are very helpful. Don’t try to get them to stand. Ask if this has happened before. If it hasn’t, ER. If it has, stay with them until someone can take them home.

What's a good procedure for folks when someone experiences a fainting? Is putting a pillow under their head and clearing space around them a good start?

FWIW, Meta was fully aware of how these glasses would primarily be used. The glasses were designed to erase consent, and that is why they exist. Anything that they do that suggests they want to ameliorate this use is an attempt to win the PR battle and manipulate public opinion.

Meta is vowing to crack down on creeps misusing its Ray Ban smart glasses. Whether it will be enough to regain trust remains to be seen.

You see everything is connected. The marine heatwaves off the coasts of Europe make heatwaves on land more intense, which in turn dries out vegetation, which then creates perfect fire weather conditions. Brought to you by the world's refusal to drastically reduce the burning of fossil fuels.
