I like this idea!

I mask for so many reasons: My weak immune system, the reality that if I get sick then I can't work, because I believe in community care, because I believe Covid inevitability serves systems of power and because masking is another tool to fight surveillance culture.

Nope nope nope. What we’re not going to do is pretend the abandonment of the vulnerable to Covid was a given fact or an inevitability. The US government could have continued to prioritize safety measures to protect the vulnerable until better treatments were found. You do You was a policy choice.

Let’s be clear here, when scientists say mistakes were made at the start of the pandemic, we DO NOT mean that we did too much. We mean not socially distancing quickly enough, not making tests widely available, and not acknowledging COVID is airborne and distributing N95 masks to everyone.

It's a collective psychopathy, which treats disabled people, elderly people and people with long-term conditions as disposable. We see it in the Covid-19 pandemic. We see it in the heatwaves. Their deaths are inconvenient reminders that a favoured policy is disastrous. So they must be dismissed.

Anytime I see a post from a liberal harrumphing at the right for refusing to wear masks “during Covid” I want to throw something at a wall. Disabled people have begged democrats to continue to take Covid seriously and have been called crazy/had fits thrown at them for 4 of the 6 years of Covid.

I wish the only-vaxers would get as fired up about other ways to prevent infection as they do about the vaccines. Their unshakable belief that they don’t need to do anything more than get the shot to be good and reasonable people is a very big part of the reason the pandemic isn’t over. 😷🪟💨💉🧀

The vaccines do not meaningfully prevent transmission after the first few months. You should also get the vaccine, at least 2x per year if you can. Both of these things are true, and the real misinformation here is conflating covid conscious people with anti-vaxxers, which is purely insidious.

Very few people are willing to have a real conversation about why everything feels off.

I’m going to say again, infecting your allies with a potentially debilitating and deadly illness is extremely foolish behavior in any kind of movement. You’re doing work for the other guys.
