We ended up having to let her go. Her pneumonia was worsening, she could barely breathe even with oxygen, and antibiotics *might* have helped i decided not to let her suffer on a crapshoot. The vet didn't charge for new xrays but we did have to pay for euthanasia, so we could still really use help.

Our other cat (not the one who was so sick a couple months ago) was dry-heaving yesterday and this morning she doesn't want breakfast. She's gotta go to the vet and we absolutely do not have budget for it. If anyone can help, paypal.me/utilitarienne

anyone else remember when the guy from antiflag's sex crimes came out and his entire band only took like 12 hours to reach the conclusion that the immediate and complete dissolution of their public business was the only thing to do with that information?

OMG I had to check my work emails regarding an extra case in court tomorrow and I've just read this from an HR person. "on a knee to nose basis" A KNEE TO NOSE BASIS 😳

This is what I'm talking about when I bring up that genAI bots are making it impossible for an open web to actually exist. It becomes expensive, a pain, and domain providers like cloudflare are profiting off both the people making bots and the people who don't have the tech skills to fight them off

Yet again, the Game UI Database is being scraped to the point that it's getting knocked offline. Even Cloudflare's "I'm under attack" mode isn't working. I just wanted to create a resource for real designers. I'm getting so fucking sick of this.

Tip for Wordpress users out there. I just logged in today to discover an infuriating black AI box appearing over every post in edit, kindly turned on without anyone at Wordpress.com or Jetpack asking me. You can kill it stone dead by turning off this plugin

When I worked in a small town computer store circa 2003, we called this stuff "malware," and most of our customers paid us to get it off their machines. They just remade BonzaiBuddy while telling us it's good now.

“More than any other digital service, my email is a window into my brain. Now Meta has it. If that's not enough, Muse also suggested I give it my bank accounts. No thanks. I didn't let the AI run wild on my computer hard drive, either.”
