BIG result out of the suburban Phoenix city of Chandler (Harris+4). The Dem-aligned candidate (City Councilman Matt Orlando) has easily defeated the GOP-aligned candidate (State Rep Jeff Weninger). The three Dem-endorsed candidates for City Council are also easily winning.

One incumbent State Representative has lost their primary so far in Arizona, Democrat Lydia Hernandez in #HD24 (Glendale). She's down by over 20 points right now to two progressive opponents in this two-seat district.

being in the DSA is fun because you get to spend most of your time helping people with social anxiety canvass for democratic school board candidates and then go online to see people with blue wave emojis in their bios compare you to pol pot

This election night should feel like an unqualified success the way fighters, progressives, and socialists have dominated downballot races and open seats, and ousted some incumbents. The problem is it feels like we need to do 10 years of disciplining the party by 2029.

DSA/Indivisible and the like have got to go after vulnerable incumbent senators in 2028, way too much left on the table here.

The fights is definitely no over. The section was close enough that it will become a litmus test for conservative legal groups. This won’t matter immediately or even this decade but it took them decades to kill Roe. They’re staring from a friendlier court already.

the anti-birthright idea didn’t circulate for long enough in conservative legal circles. If it had circulated for another three years it would’ve been a majority opinion. I really do not think this fight is over

Dems have to run on this hard. Do not let the RFK types try to spin what his own party just signed off on here. Actual Monsanto, the comic book villain of Adbusters days, was shielded from liability over poisoning Americans. I don't care if it's slopulism: this Supreme Court wants you dead.
