i was a real skeptic about glp-1s but after being on zepbound for a month i am here to report that i was wrong it's actually surreal how immediately it silences the low hum of food noise. literally gone overnight. i'm so much less likely to spam any dopamine button I can find, too (food or not)

brief reminder from one of his begrudging constituents: thomas massie is meeting an extraordinarily low bar here, but he is not your friend and you shouldn't expect much more than this from him in terms of "positions that are not morally reprehensible on their face"

Rep. Massie:  “I've not seen any arrests from the revelations in the Epstein files…Over two dozen people have resigned, CEOs, members of government worldwide. But I haven't seen any arrests or investigations here in the United States from this DOJ.”

one of the lesser-mentioned but still deeply annoying things about the whole epstein fiasco is that anytime you mention a true fact that he actually, verifiably did, you sound like your next sentence is going to be spouting off about how chemtrail vaccines did 9/11

We need to talk about the rise of "smol bean fascism" where you have all the guns and the immunity but the really scary people are the ones with whistles and phone cameras and they're giving you generational trauma and ptsd by filming you killing people for no reason

i have just gotten off a productive call with sauron where i laid out our requests - nazgul bodycams - morgul knife must remain sheathed unless suspect is determined to be carrying the one ring - shelob will be the new point of contact

US citizen volunteers who are putting themselves out there as observers need to be aware that ICE does have statutory authority to arrest anyone for any federal crime if they witness you doing it. They also believe that 18 USC 111 makes it a crime to look at them funny, so you can do the math there

The officer who shot Alex worked for DHS for 8 years. The officer who shot Renee worked for DHS for over 10 years. Both are considered “highly trained.” The problem isn’t "training." DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity. We must MELT ICE and dismantle DHS.

When they announce the indictment Minnesota authorities owe it to the public to be very clear that just because the facts are on their side here the law was intentionally designed not to be. Even most very intelligent people don't know what it means to have to apply a high legal standard

/8 A huge part of what makes it very hard to convict Jonathan Ross for murder was baked into America generations before Trump was President. That’s the primary factor that lets law enforcement kill with impunity, not Trump. Dick Wolf has killed more black men than Leopold II.

"blue states should withhold federal taxes" 1. that's not how taxes work 2. many, many of us in red states are not right-wing 3. "redness" is not frozen in time 4. "individuals should suffer for the crimes of the powerful" is cruelty unbecoming of so-called progressives tl;dr kindly shut up

in these moments, in my view, it is a political and spiritual DUTY for my outrage and anger to be as fresh as if I'd never heard how they shot Fred Hampton in his bed. As fresh as if I didn't know Bobby Hutton was surrendering when they shot him. 1/2

It is not that hard to cook up violations of US law against corrupt dictators we don't like and get them past a grand jury. A federal indictment is nowhere close to enough to justify a US military invasion and orchestrated regime change, and we all need to say that together or it will be

this isn't actually complicated at all. going into another country and kidnapping their leader is rancid imperialism and it's wrong without qualification. what you think of Maduro does not enter into it.
