There's a reason US cops tell you "Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law"; the Miranda Warning very much does not say "help you". The UK's "Anything you do say may be given in evidence" is less explicit about it, but you can bet they only care about evidence *against*…
flyingrodent@flyingrodent.bsky.social · 2mo agoSure lads, but look: if you ever find yourself implicated in somebody else’s serious crimes and the cops are wheedling with you to incriminate yourself, then I too would advise you to no-comment every question. *Especially if* you are innocent and had nothing to do with it.
Given how the government treats trans people, I don't know if I should be angry or grateful that they're forgetting about bi people for IDAHOBIT…
