This week's Disk Cleanup is with Felipe Falanghe, creator of Kerbal Space Program. We talked about Full Throttle, his lifelong love of Flight Simulator, and how KSP was partly inspired by a Top Gear Flash game. www.pcgamer.com/gaming-indus...
One of Kerbal Space Program's biggest inspirations was a promotional Flash game for Top Gear: 'That was the most similar game to KSP that I could find back then'
The creator of KSP talks us through what's on his PC, from Full Throttle to Old School Runescape.

I knew Big Walk was good when I played it for @alexspencerdale.bsky.social's Edge cover feature last year. I didn't anticipate how special the full game would be, nor that its ending would leave me floored. An unforgettable experience, which I grappled with for EG: www.eurogamer.net/big-walk-rev...

51 years ago I painted a trio of Viking related works for NASA HQ including the widely reproduced one of the landing on Mars. I have reimagined the Landing portrayal in updated form using digital methods of visualization and painting. I chose the same angle but with reality replacing anticipation.
I had a chat with @harvey1966.bsky.social about growing up poor, dealing with the deaths of his parents, and how those things shaped his outlook on work and life. www.gaming.firezidechat.com/p/firezide-c...

We have good news and bad news! The good news is that we just started production on Thimbleweed Park 2, due out in early 2028. store.steampowered.com/app/4932120/... Now the bad news... there is no bad news, it’s all good news! P.S. Thimbleweed Park 1 is on sale on Steam, Switch, iOS and Google.
Hello! For a potential piece on Eurogamer, I would love to know what cool little things people in and around games are working on. Not full games, but fun, interesting, weird projects or side projects. Things you're noodling around with, things you just think are neat. Replies/reposts very welcome!
There's something to be said about Project Zomboid increasing in price and breaking a player record shortly after laying off someone.
GOLD TEETH has launched! It's a piratical TTRPG set in a cursed version of the Age of Sail, with 350 pages of briny phantasmagoria, colonial terror and nauseating seafood. It's part Master & Commander, part Blackadder, left to ripen in the sun like a beached porpoise. teethrpg.itch.io/gold-teeth
Saudi Arabia executed at least 356 people last year (including five women for "witchcraft"). Only China and Iran executed more. Apart from buying EA, Saudi's PIF now owns 6% of Take-Two and 10% of Nintendo. Please read the Knowledge piece from @robfahey.net last week: tinyurl.com/4685huxk

I was trying to decide what the 10 most influential (not necessarily best) FPS are up to now and this is what I came up with: Wolfenstein 3d Doom Quake Half-life/Medal of Honor (can't decide) Halo Call of Duty 4 Far Cry 3 Overwatch PUBG Doom Eternal

So here's a piece about a long-running Jedi Knight fansite that's also kinda about the Internet as a whole, charting the boom and bust of the dotcom era, and mourning a web that doesn't really exist any more. www.pcgamer.com/games/action...
Conceived in a secure military facility, this Jedi Knight fansite has been running consistently for almost 30 years: 'It looks really close to what it did back in 1998'
The story of The Massassi Temple.
