amidst all the usual post-2020 bullshit here where A Big Group Of Local Heavy-Hitters Pretends To Be Progressive And All Of Their Solutions Are “Give Money To Cops, Elect Conservatives, And Euthanize The Homeless” it was at least nice to see someone who got duped realize it and immediately drop out

A new coalition, Go Portland Go, which filed as a political action committee (PAC) with the state in April, says it is pooling resources behind “leaders who can actually run a progressive city.”

I just find all Potter diehards insane at this point. I've spent years now wondering if there could ever be a book -- or movie, or show -- that is so good, it could convince me to just become a bigot and abandon some friends. There just isn't. It's not possible. That's insane.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

This happened even before I ran for office when I talked about it ok TikTok. It’s threatening to realize someone with no mental health/drug issues became homeless because that means it can happen to anyone. It also shows all the potential lost when we don’t care for our neighbors.

Trump’s obscene corruption is therefore a symptom of what is broken in our politics and in our economic and social system. Revealing his abuses and holding him accountable is therefore essential to our hopes of restoring equity, decency, opportunity and the rule of law in our society.

No president would ever again be seen as above reproach, others might succumb to the temptations of translating great power into profit. At the same time, the corruption of the Court and the Congress must be revealed and they too must be held accountable. So too must be oligarchs and…

…against pursuing the investigations, impeachment, and prosecutions. That would be a fatal error for American democracy. He must be exposed and what he has done painstakingly detailed or we will essentially ratify and institutionalize his transformation of our government into a mafia state.

1. the 1381 Peasant’s Revolt was real. it was! it’s a fascinating historical socialist event. 2. Robin Hood, the made-up fake fictional character, was not involved in it at all. 3. producers slapped his name on this to sell it, like “A Knives Out Story” was slapped on Glass Onion. 4. I’m annoyed!

Film as an industry is so weird - they take these incredible, hyper intelligent, boundlessly hard working creatives, give them the resources to realise the vision they’ve described, then do everything in their power to sabotage it. www.theguardian.com/film/2026/au...
