wicked beyond abstention

I had a cop send me death threats, under his full name. He lived 90 mins from me. Reported to his dept, sent screen shots etc. Nothing happened. I got death threats from white supremacists with histories of real violence. Nothing to be done. “We’re scared,” scream lawmakers. Okay? And?

I wonder what would have happened if folks had taken seriously the rise in political violence and threats against women, trans, Black, and antifascist organizers and figures back when we were all getting swatted and sent photoshops of ourselves beheaded

Kent Ford endorsed Mitch Green for reelection. Mr. Ford has been fighting for his community for more than 60 years in Portland, establishing survival programs for basic needs like food and health care, and challenging racist government and state sanctioned violence from local police and feds.

Can we be honest that so called 'wokeness' meant Black people demanding full social personhood and refusing to be silent about getting murdered/harmed by the state? So yes, that is more threatening to many in this country than is fascism. I think that's been clear.

If you only read the opinion journalism in elite media over the last decade, you would have been convinced that wokeness, not fascism, was the greatest threats to American society. Now some of those authors are retconning by trying to relabel fascism as "the woke right." bsky.app/profile/donm...

considering the slight but tangible chance of Texas’s state government flipping blue and contemplating the specter of people trying to do a mini January 6th to Texas and Elon Musk Yukio Mishima-ing himself on the state capitol lawn downtown

they should've made the sequel to the blair witch project about going in there with the army to kill her

We need a president named Mr. Message and he goes around dressed up like a big inkwell with a quill coming out of the top

I’m old enough to remember when MAGA was pretending “free speech” was their mcguffin and a lot of credulous journalists had just never considered the concept of Bad Faith — and they wouldn’t for several years at least

I’m in DC scheduled to give this talk today. But the organizers flagged slides in my deck that mention racism, structural gaslighting, New Jim Code and other themes that are off limits in the Land of the Free.
