What you can do, and what I'm trying to do, is build an alternative economy that pushes reliance on the state / capitalism as far out to the edges as possible. Mutual aid can help lead to this, but it's a dual-power effort which is far larger than just mutual aid. And it'll take a long time to do.

I do some of the largest scale mutual aid work on the planet. You absolutely cannot mutual aid your way out of state capacity. You can reduce some of the short-term harm via mutual aid. But that's a stop-gap measure, and here's why.🧵
