if you want to get really mad look into logging and the way they replant. My understanding from folks in the land management field is that they tend to not replant native trees like ponderosa pine, but more faster growing trees that aren't native to these areas and haven't adapted to fire (cont)

The internet is filled with really dumb people who right now think the fires in Spokane WA were fake because the houses burned but trees didn’t. What they’re forgetting is that dead, thin, dry wood burns. Wet, dense, living wood is harder to burn. Old living pine and house vs fire: house loses.

there aren't really many mall stores left in it but it remains open nonetheless. They've added gyms, restaurants, huge box stores, and whatever else they can to try to fill the space. But every time I've had the misfortune of going there it's just empty and feels like where nostalgia goes to die.

as a bay area sports fan, I'm used to being disappointed in my teams, but i'm not as familiar with being angry at them

I can't believe the Giants biggest addition to the bullpen was a homophobe who walks more than 7 batters per 9 innings

The lack of concern about value in that moment foreshadowed what they're doing now with their guys they should be looking to trade. It's a FO that just does stuff but isn't ever thinking beyond that thing they want to do in that moment.
