To celebrate all the recent love for #Hoi and #MoonChild, I fired up @aseprite.org to create some new Hoi and MC pixel art, for the first time in ± 30 years. 😃💚 For the scenery, I used my tiles for the Amiga version, combined with the Windows version's mountains and night sky background.

We occasionally get newcomers in the TGC Discord who come in all aggro, and we've got to be like, "chill, it's just us, we're not gonna signal boost you for being like that here." And lo and behold, you remove those incentives and most people see how miserable it is and STOP DOING IT.

Most social media platforms train you to frame your opinion in the nastiest, most aggressive way possible. Being an asshole is incentivized and rewarded. Nuance and kindness are algorithmically punished. It's not just Twitter, but this is what I mean when I say I can tell who's still on Twitter.

God, trying to do any research is like pulling teeth these days. Even with the AI summary forcibly disabled, Google still INSISTS on correcting words that it thinks were incorrect (without asking!) just to funnel you to a completely irrelevant cluster of Reddit threads.

God my launch year Switch's battery life is such an enigma. Probably a calibration issue more than anything but: spend an hour playing Virtual Boy - goes from 100% to 78%, no biggie. Leave it on the HOME menu unattended for five minutes and it somehow loses another 12%.

Been a year since the big move out of London. Still immensely mixed thoughts on everything that's happened in the time since, but I'm happy to be here. Hoping for a breakthrough soon.

The games industry is collapsing! Anyway next week I'm looking forward to playing Big Walk with my friends, replaying Mario Sunshine for the third time and checking out two unreleased Virtual Boy games
