It's an unprecedented $100,000 tax on int'l grads who stay to work after graduation on Optional Practical Training (most grads do), a crucial bridge to remaining by any channel.
My last grocery store purchase was absolutely nuts in cost. I buy at one store a lot of the same things, so I know the ballpark on my purchases, when to buy on sale, etc.. People are going to go hungry. 🥺 I know a ton of annual & semi-annual bills are coming due. 🌸 (Quarterlies DUE Tuesday.)

A new version of ChatGPT is about to drop. Academics like @alexhanna.bsky.social and Emily Bender have been pointing out for literal years that these scare tactics about how powerful and scary AI is actually work as marketing. At this point, being this gullible is a choice.
