ADHD. Dog Mum. Sarcastic. Gen X. Peri. PTSD. Chronic Pain. Artist. Aotearoa 🇳🇿Still figuring out who I am and what I’ll be when I grow up. Serious about my morning coffee ☕️

Not for *government duties* for his role as leader of the National Party for a party *fundraiser* for the *election* Surely this is outside the bounds of what the Air Force should be used for?? Seems like an enormous breach of his access to public assets! www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

Um. There is no stable government. This coalition is over in everything but name. If someone is only keeping their job so you hold onto power that's not stable government. Snap election now.

Work is done. Dad’s 90th birthday flowers are ordered, which equate to half of today’s pay, which means this weeks food budget, usually my one days pay, is also half. $75 is hardly going to feed us. But Dad deserves the flowers.

It’s so cold for this constantly-hot Aucklander, that I’ve popped out of reception for a cup of Miso. Only I don’t have a coat with me and wind chill is means the miso feels lukewarm instead of piping hot. First world humid city Aucklander problems I know, but it’s my reality and that’s valid.

Do me a favour. Take 5 mins to send a message to your mates, close and distant. It can be simple, copy paste “Hey my friend. It’s been a while. Checking to see how you are doing, as life is hard for a lot of people right now. Please know I’m always here if you need to talk.”

I deep heated my right lower back, arse and thigh after showering. Then I washed my hands, put pjs on, and started to put face cream on when I realised I hadn’t got all the deep heat off. I’ve done this before too. I’m an idiot. My face is tingly and my left eye is chemically dying.

On Al Jazeera news just now: “Since Israel got away with genocide in Gaza it’s now turning its attention to the West Bank again.” Israel Got Away With Genocide. What a shocking and appalling statement, and a sign of the complete failure of the rule of law and international action.

Todays therapy session. Bit of a doozy. Bit of a childhood revelation. Bit of a shirtballs you poor thing moment. Bit of a Pat on the Back. Gawd, the experience of life isn’t easy for some of us.

Ok, so NZ's Temu Trump fired off a racist diatribe that will leave you slackjawed. It's awful. AND ... you've got to see what set him off. He was moaning about NZ's COVID response again, and dog-whistling vaccination risks. This is the first time in that debate that he spoke.

While walking the dogs tonight, I may have been particularly loud upon commenting to husband that Uncle Winnie is a drunk and a racist bastard as we walked past some older white men, incase they needed to think outside their bubble.

There’s a certain loss of innocence and femininity in plucking out chin hairs as a woman. Yes yes, I know I skeet about chin hairs on a semi regular basis. But peri sucks.

And Simeon Brown has quietly changed the elective surgery waiting time in NZ from 4 months to 12 months for a specialist appointment. Share it. If your GP sends a waiting list referral you get the Xray, then a letter advising of 12 month wait to see a Specialist.

Also found a piece of paper attached to a childhood Mensa registration for my brother and myself, that had my IQ from childhood putting me in the top 1 percentile and my brother always thought his was more than mine 😬 not that it matters, for IQ is bollocks, EQ is where it’s at.

Great to see that National support 30 weeks Paid Parental Leave. Especially after they voted against the introduction of PPL. Blocked the extension to 26 weeks for several years. Canceled 33 pay equity claims. And just this year, cut Best Start payments for the majority of new parents.

Hard day at parentals. Bro and I had a sort and declutter plan, but our first room of choice was boxes of Mums things, papers from her and Dads past, childhood school things of me and my brother, floppy discs, cd roms, slides and all the sewing things. Parents. Please sort your shit. This is HARD.
