man I will just never get over the fact that the collective response to the pandemic, and an absolutely miraculous vaccine development, was to destroy public health in this country and smear everyone involved I generally take a positive view of humanity overall but it's so depressing

Aaron van Dorn@aaronvandorn.bsky.social · last wk.I think that we need to come to terms with the fact that the Epstein stuff didn't matter at all to Trump's popularity, but it did foster further conspiracism and provided a stalking horse for the exploding antisemitism on the left. The juice was not worth the squeeze.
Think about it like this. Immediately after J6, even Trump's pals in Congress were ready to toss the man. Biden was at his most popular right out of the gate and people saw Trump as a danger to democracy. They would've added Biden to Mt. Rushmore for saving democracy.

I don't know why these two particular episodes (out of so many) stick out in my memory, but: the Biden withdrawal from Afghanistan & Claudine Gay "plagiarism" "scandal." *No* Trump scandal has received the quantity or intensity of mainstream press fury that those two attracted.
The false narrative that republicans are the same as democrats is one of the more effective forms of republican propaganda that right-wing media uses because its primary mission is to make you like republicans
100% this and also, it’s a very good way to evaluate a candidate. If they are willing to throw trans folk under the bus, they’re going to do it to the next marginalized group too. First thing I look for when considering donating or supporting is their stance on trans rights.

blue state electeds need to understand that THIS IS WHAT CONSERVATIVES ACTUALLY BELIEVE take them seriously and start taking your own control over armed agents of the state seriously.

President Obama once delivered a speech in an open field for four hours during a thunderstorm while leaning against a very tall, pointy metal pole. President Trump should do the same, but for six hours, to demonstrate his strength.
