An insane video game-related Lost Media find has quietly popped up on YouTube. Two episodes of "Say Powww!", a 1979 game show about video games that only aired in some markets. People in studio and over the phone played Intellivision (!!) games. Predates Starcade!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=29tJ...

Glad to finally have this Bull Nakano figure, but I've never felt like a toy was so grudgingly sent. Had to keep reconfirming the pre-order at least once a week, including one time they never sent an email about it. Not that I keep the boxes, but it was in really rough shape. Worth the trouble? YES.

The PS1 SOTN recomp has kicked up all the inane arguments about how the game was “too easy.” Yeah, the balance will break if you happen to get a 1-in-1000 drop from an enemy found in one area of the Inverted Castle or grind for an absurd amount of gold to buy the unlimited uses device. Oh no.

I always have so much fun going through arcade flyers. Japanese ones generally say something like: "AMAZEMENT, SPEED, go crazy with 200 techniques full of EXCITEMENT", or some stoic story blurb with sick art. Then US ones are like "PROFITS, INCREASE YOUR EARNINGS, DROWN IN TOKENS" in plain text.

Just realized I never shared this here TMNT art in the style of old Bengus art (circa MvC1.) Made the Turtles, and was initially just going to add April O'Neil, ended up adding Splinter, Bebop and Rocksteady as well. I made these during a number of livestreams. Could be fun to add more.

On July 28, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. Over the past week, 38 people have lost their lives, and 8,200 have been evacuated. YutaONE doesn’t have funds, but we do have fonts. We are making a donation. As part of that effort, we have released a new font.

Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion skeletons in Jason and the Argonauts are amazing even now. He animated the sequence by himself for more than four months -- without computers or even an easy way to check his work. We're looking into how he did it: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/how-ray-ha...

Some more Exdeath work. Once the jump animation is done, it will mark the end of his phase 1 animations, as his run and back dash will be a reuse of his walk animations, but sped up along with some VFX. #CVSQFANGAME #pixelart #FinalFantasy
