My big overarching politics take from last night: There is no big take. If you think you’d be good at an office, run for it. If you like a candidate, vote for them. Forget all the galaxy brain BS. No one knows what voters want. No one knows what makes a good candidate. Just try stuff you like.
Prediction markets should be regulated to within an inch or their life. That inch is vote counting though.
It's not just that this is, of course, an insane lie—it's that *just thinking about it for ten seconds*, without looking anything up, should make it screamingly obvious that the claim couldn't possibly be remotely close to true. You have to actively shut your brain off to say stuff like this.

This is the scariest shit. This is scarier than anything I saw with my own eyes in Iraq. The terror appears to be the point. I guess the technical term for it would be "terrorism."

“They tried to run us over” is also an accidental acknowledgement that they’re gunning down and/or violently harassing unarmed people because in such recurring cases they’re not even lying about their victims having weapons on them
