Sam Altman said people are just gonna have to die in order to implement AI. In the very same week, Anthropic claimed it’s a human rights violation to be mean to the computer. These people need to be held accountable. They think lines of code are a person with rights but living people are debris.

Over the past year, Anthropic has repeatedly flirted with the idea that its AI models could be conscious in some way. In February, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said on a podcast, “We don’t know if the models are conscious.”

This is exactly it. Melinda Cooper argues in her essay ‘Epstein Family Values’ that the tech billionaires want to create a world of servants so that they can play the masters. Some of us will be playthings, some helpmeets to reproduce the master race. Useful, or abandoned. We need a better future.

Reading proofs from book & remembering what I wrote in 2015: "I am very concerned about the future of AI. Not because of the risk of rogue machines taking over. But because of the homogeneous, one-dimensional group of men who are currently involved in advancing the technology.”

The way the Cornell victim is being publicly disbelieved by a lot of journalists, officials, and online posters is also a warning shot to every other victim not to dare to actually pursue a case against your rapist lest you suffer the same fate. It’s a means of protecting the status quo

This conversation with Timnit Gebru was so hugely insightful. It really helped me to understand the eschatological, ‘effective altruism’ side of the AI delusion as a form of eugenics.

Today on #VibeCheckPod, @timnitgebru.blacksky.app explains what’s really going on with these so-called AI whistleblowers. Also, I let the chopper spray on Robert Kraft, Ed Sheeran, Pink, Jasmine Crockett and Chris Brown. Also, I read a lovely poem by Hieu Minh Nguyen.

It’s amazing how the media cooperates to make some issues salient and completely ignores others. We went from North Carolina being protested against for an anti-trans bathroom bill in 2016 to now every politician being asked their position on a dozen or so athletes in ALL of K-16.

I just honestly can't get over that Save Women Sports, an anti-trans group could only find five trans athletes competing K through 12. Five. The NCAA president testified a year and a half ago or so that there were less than 10 college level trans athletes. What the fuck are we doing, people
