Disabled (MCAS and long COVID). Not-so-happily retired geriatrician/palliative/IM doc. My skeets do reflect the opinions of my current employers (The Tiny House Panther and The Emergency Backup Cat). 🏳️‍🌈

Also, the in-flight part of air travel actually got better too. If you pay the equivalent amount now, you'll have a very nice experience. Actually, it would be hard to pay the equivalent amount now without flying private. You also have the option of paying less and having a less nice experience.

Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime

question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?

like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?

Your little oopsie "mistakes" had me worrying for a year of my life about my partner going to jail for up to a decade based on lies likely fed to you by the top of the federal government. Show everyone what you're covering up in these emails and texts. There's a reason you don't want them released.

Boutros acknowledges 'mistakes' in 'Broadview 6' case but says sanctions, special counsel aren't needed

And in fact, that the opposite is true seems to be becoming more and more obvious—that if you use AI as an assistant when you're doing a thing, you get worse at doing that thing.

Talking about the giant ad spend against him: "Turns out, commercials are part of the television show no one wants to watch." lolol

"I can't fathom why anybody would buy [shitty product X]. You can make a better version of [X] at home just by adding [a bunch of ingredients and possibly introducing a lot more steps]" Yeah. You pay companies to do that for you. It's often not as nice. You also consider the time and effort...

hey @joshuajfriedman.com if there's one thing I might beg you to communicate internally - the (a?) core of bluesky users want opt-in instead of opt-out, because we don't trust social media corporations to ever do good thngs. It's a learned distrust, and it might not be fair, but it's there.

I think we can all agree that no matter who wins the Michigan primary, the polling was pretty inaccurate. Especially the poll that showed a 100% result for Mind-Your-Own-Business-You-Nosy-Bastard.

I've seen enough. I'm projecting that the winner of the Cat of the Week is Millie, The Emergency Backup Cat. She won largely on the strength of having broken no keyboards and chewed through no battery charging cables.

MAHA is a eugenicist movement and you do not negotiate with eugenicists. This is a thing a high proportion of people who will tell you not to frequent the Nazi bar apparently forget when the patrons of the Nazi bar share their priors about food dyes or whatever.

You actually don't have to do the "well, you know, I disagree with MAHA but they're right that there are real problems with The System" thing. That's a concession you absolutely do not have to make.
